About
The Women in Golf Awards is an annual event celebrating the significant contribution that women, past and present, continue to make to the golf industry. The event was established by Nicole Wheatley and Ben Blackburn whose combined experience in the golf world led them to identify a need to create a platform that would connect, celebrate and inspire.
The Awards bring together women at all stages of their careers, from every sector, showing the diverse nature of the roles women hold in the industry. 2025 saw the awards create a programme of CPD opportunities for women in the industry which will grow again into 2026. The awards will also embark on two significant projects in partnership with the Kate & Justin Rose Foundation, and 59 Club, that will drive the golf industry forward into a more equitable future.
FAQs
When do nominations open?
Nominations open on September 1st and close at Midnight on September 30th
Who can we nominate?
The individual awards are open to anyone idenitifying as a woman. Prevous winners and nominees can be nominated again.
How do I nominate?
Simply click on the drop down to select the award you want to nominate someone for. We suggest that you take note of the questions and come back to complete the nomination once you have as much information as possible to support your nominations. The better the nomination, the more likely the nominee is to succeed.
Who are the judges and how does judging work?
We never announce our judges. In fact they don’t even know who else is a judge! To ensure that the awards are judged fairly and independetly, no one involed in the juding process is linked to the organisers of the awards. Each judge is given 2 or 3 categories to review. They use a scoring system for each question which results in a total score for each nomination. The scores from the judges are combined to pick the finalists and winner.
Can I buy a ticket?
Yes. We have a ballot which allocates free tickets to a number of women working in golf, but we also have some subsidized tickets available from October. To ensure that you are considered for a ticket please enter your details on the ballot page. This closes on September 30th.
